Radical Sportscars appoints Team Stradale as an Authorized Engine
Service Center for Radical’s four-cylinder Hayabusa based engines.
Team Stradale has become only the second authorized engine builder to exist
worldwide outside of the Radical factory in Peterborough, England.
Based at Autobahn Country Club near Chicago, Illinois, Team Stradale
operates one of the largest Radical dealerships in the world, maintaining over
50 customer cars on-site as well as servicing customers throughout the Midwest
region. Team Stradale is also one of Radical’s highest volume dealers, claiming
top sales honors for North America in 2016.
With its proximity to America’s East Coast, Team Stradale compliments the
recently endorsed engine builder on the West Coast, Powertec America based
at Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club based near Las Vegas,
Nevada.
Dealer Principal Francesco D’Avola and chief engine builder Giovanni D’Avola
received their official certification last weekend at the Performance Racing
Industry Trade Show in Indianapolis where Radical was displaying its range of
Radical Performance Engines and powertrain solutions including the new 2.3L
RPE Ecoboost 4-cylinder and formidable 650hp 3.5L RPE Ford EcoBoost V6.
Giovanni and Francesco received extensive training at the Radical Factory
under the guidance of Radical Engine Production Manager Lee Deane, who
was on hand to present the certificate. Francesco is adding Radical engine
expertise to an already impressive competitive racing career, while Giovanni
enhances his impressive skill set that includes 40 years of being a master
builder focused on Ferrari engines.
Four more Team Stradale mechanics and engine builders are also due to
complete factory training in the first quarter of 2018.
This is the second significant story to come out of the PRI Show after it was
announced that Radical will partner with Pirelli World Challenge in 2018, with all
six rounds of Radical’s North American championship supporting PWC events.

also boasts the SCCA and NASA accredited Radical racing academy. Its school
is the only one-on-one program you’ll find that challenges drivers of all
